This is the second stop of their 2012 World Tour (their first being in Dubai) and marks their first return to the U.S. in two years.

Many consider Glen Helen to be the birth place of motocross and many of the contending XFighters were excited to run on what has been said to be the largest motocross track including last year’s champion, Dany Torres of Spain.

“I’m really happy to be here in Glen Helen,” said Torres. “And I want to do my best here.”

Most, if not all the X-Fighters were impressed with the expansiveness of the Glen Helen Track.

Even Torres remarked on the expansiveness, noting that it was bigger than any track he’d seen in Europe.

The event featured some of the world’s preeminent freestyle motocross riders including Wes Agee (representing the U.S.) and international greats such as Thomas Pages (France) and Andre Villa (Spain), but only one person would be named king of the hill.

It was Todd Potter (U.S.) who took the crown at Glen Helen and Potter fans like Matthew Snipes who were ecstatic to see him win.

“I’ve followed motocross and freestyle my entire life,” said Snipes. “He throws the sickest whips; he’s pretty much my number one guy.”

Potter will continue the competition at the top of the leader board and the tour’s next stop is Istanbul, Turkey.
