I Love You, Your Perfect, Now Change

“I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change”

(SAN BERNARDINO – The Sturges Center for the Fine Arts) The Sturges Center for the Fine Arts hosted one of Off-Broadway’s longest running musicals, “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change.”

By David Medrano (Editor/Writer), Alissa Ochoa (Videographer/Photographer) & MaryRone Shell (Producer/Videographer)

The hilarious musical explores relationships, romance and the dating game between the two genders.

Couples stopped before the beginning of the play and shared some of  their own experiences in marriage, dating and love.

“When we heard it we just started laughing, just the title of it was very catchy and interesting,” said Maria and Anthony Escalera.

Although the show’s subject matter was aimed towards romantic couples, the play as a whole was able to be enjoyed by anyone.

“I was very excited about bringing my daughter to come and see it. I haven’t been to a theater in a long time, so I am really excited about being here,” said Shira Rister.

The night was filled with laughter and warmth thanks to the amazingly well executed musical along with its incredible actors.

“I loved it! It was funny, joyful, cheery and all around very good,” said Nicole Ellis.

Funny, truthful and passionate: these are all reasons to go and check out this one-of-a-kind artistic accomplishment.

The performances were shown on February 10 and 11 at 8 p.m. and February 12 at the matinee at 2 p.m.

The musical was presented by Bennett Productions and produced by the City of San Bernardino’s Economic Development Corporation (EDC) and the Sturges Center for the Fine Arts.
