CID hosts annual Harvest Haunt

The Center for Individual Development (CID) hosted its second annual Harvest Haunt Halloween weekend, Oct. 28-31.

The months of planning that the Friends of the Center for Individual Development (CID) poured into this project paid off as the setup was impressive and as promised.

The major underlying theme of this year’s Harvest Haunt was classic Hollywood horror. The maze came complete with such classic characters as the mummies, Frankenstein, a werewolf and several especially spooky effects.

At the entrance, there was a vortex that seemed to transport guests into a different dimension.

Overall, the impressive setup was something even Hitchcock would be proud of, but the community would be even more proud to learn that it was all done to benefit the CID and is a part of the countless efforts made to keep this center open.

“I’m very proud of this group and what they have done here,” said Debbra Newcomb, a CID board member. Newcomb remarked on this unique opportunity to give back to the community and contribute to a good cause and seemed to be overall pleased with the outcome.
